Love the server - really don't like the interface

Hey guys,
I am really excited about this app. It's the first time I've been able to stream from home to behind my work firewall, and it only took about three minutes to install on my home Mac Mini. It works great!

(I had high hopes for Simplify Media, but it doesn't work behind a firewall OF ANY KIND and is flaky on cell connections.)

However, I really dislike the interface of the web client. It's clunky and hard to find what you want. Is anyone working on alternative client interfaces?

Is there a big obstacle to making it work similar to the iTunes interface? There are probably restrictions against making it look like iTunes, but maybe you could make it sort and display the data in the same way, without copying the "look and feel" of iTunes.

Anyway, that's the only complaint I have. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for your comments Max.

Being open source and all, it is possible to create a custom interface, but it's not easy. The ability to use different themes is on the pipeline for a future version though. I'm not planning on making a new theme myself, but I hope this future functionality will be straightforward enough for the community to contribute.

It took me a while to realize how to use the pull-down menus to act as a type of iTunes Browser implementation. It should be highlighted as a main feature. Also, as someone else pointed out, most people don't search by Genre except in certain circumstances. Same with playlists. I would focus on the Browser features before refining the Playlist features.

But I'm using it now and it's so great - my comments should only be read as constructive criticism, not as trolling. Keep up the good work.

 YES  ME TOO BAD ITS GREAT I TALK TO ALL OFF MY FRIENDS  ,SOME OF MY MUSIC CAN PLAY THERE WHY? TELL ME HOW TO MAKE MY  ALL OFF MY MUSIC IN MY ITUNE S PLAY THERE . TKS

I love the theme how it is!

It gives it that "inviting" interface that makes listeners want to use it.
