Pulptunes under Apache Webserver
« on: May 15, 2009, 08:10:19 AM »

As i am new to all of this i have one question.
Is it possible to integrate pulptunes in my existing website served by apache.
I saw that pulptunes uses it's own webserver with port 15000.
What i am trying is to use pulptunes customized to share my itunes library with my friendy in my lan. So i need it running under apache. Is this possible ? And if how ?javascript:void(0);

Take a look at this article. It explains how to set up Apache as a proxy so that it redirects requests to a given subdirectory e.g. www.yoursite.com/mytunes to your pulpTunes instance, and so the special port is no longer needed.

I tried to read this article, but it looks like SourceForge sucked so you moved to Kenai.

Any chance you can post an updated link? Or modify your original one to direct to Kenai? I'm curious to read about this as I'm looking into potentially starting a website.

Cheers,
~G.

PS. If you modify your old link, feel free to delete this to avoid the clutter.

Hi sorry for the late reply. SF did suck indeed, and they erased the wiki with like a two day advise  >:(
I've created a FAQ item regarding this:
