1.1 release candidate is out

This should be the last step before launching the final version.

The biggest change for this release is the implementation of an advanced permissions system for playlist access and songs rating. Some command-line goodies were added as well, and finally the memory error for big libraries should be gone without having to call pulpTunes directly through the console.

I’ve updated the demo with this version, with full access and rating access for anonymous users.

Here’s the full log of changes since the beta:

New features

• New column with album track number, and improved default sorting logic.
• Added command-line option “-create_superadmin” to be able to set the superadmin user in headless setups
• Added command-line option “-help”
• Added setting “user_management_enabled” in config.ini (used to be hidden)

 
New permissions system

• Access and rating permissions can now be set for specific playlists.
• This is enforced even at the “All Music” playlist level, the genres/artist/album filters and search results,
• Which means that a user won’t be able to see a song unless he has access to at least one playlist that the song belongs to.
• The only way to bypass these permissions is for a user to receive a direct link to a song or playlist from someone who has access, but such links will only be valid for 6 hours.

Bug fixes

• Fixed app freeze when viewing the log window under heavy load.
• Fixed memory problems for large libraries
