Song Could Not be loaded. Continuing with next one...
« on: June 15, 2010, 12:20:53 AM »

System info:
PulpTunes 1.3.0 running on Ubuntu 9.10
The library is stored on a NAS.  (Unraid)
The share //tower/disk1/iTunes is mounted at /media/iTunes  (I could not browse pulptunes to find a library.xml on a network location, so I mounted to a local point).
When I run "Test Locally"
I get the message "Song could not be loaded.  Continuing with next one ..."
Code: [Select]
15-06 01:12:03 - Anonymous (0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1): Streaming song "08 falling up (carl craig remix)"
15-06 01:12:03 WARN  - Couldn't open file to try extracting cover
15-06 01:12:03 WARN  - FILE WAS NOT FOUND: /Tower/disk1/iTunes/iTunes Music/Music/Unknown Artist/Unknown Album/08 falling up (carl craig remix).mp3
That file path looks suspicious to me.
Other things.  I am able to use the library with iTunes running on a Windows 7 computer connected to the library hosted on the unraid NAS.

Follow these instructions
http://www.pulptunes.com/support/index.php?fuse=knowledgebase&view=KB_viewArticle&articleId=2&public=1
making sure your files path start with /media/iTunes and not /Tower/disk1/iTunes as they seem to do now.

Thanks.  That pointed me in the right direction.

I do not want to edit my original iTunes library file.

So, I copied the Itunes Library to my local linux computer where pulptunes is running.  Then, I did a global replace for the path..
"//Tower/disk1/iTunes" to "//media/iTunes"
Voila!

The downside.  My copied library needs to be synched and then have its path updated periodically.

But before I do that I need to test from the net.

Thanx again!
