"Song could not be loaded" -- But it's already playing
« on: March 18, 2010, 01:50:09 PM »

Occasionally, I get the following error:

"Song could not be loaded.  Continuing with next one."

However, the song is already playing, and I can hear the audio.  Nevertheless, PulpTunes skips to the next song.  Here's the relevant portion of the log:

It seems to have something to do with the cover art as opposed to the actual song, but that shouldn't cause PulpTunes to skip to the next song.

The error is entirely random.  For instance, if the error occurs for a particular song while in Shuffle mode,  and I search for the song and play it, the error doesn't happen.

Cover art doesn't indeed have anything to do in this case. There's a song timeout setting under advanced setings you can increase to give the engine more time to load the song files, in case they're located in a remote drive or something like that...

The default timeout is set to 8 seconds, but these skips are happening within 1-3 seconds of the previous song ending.  I've upped the timeout to 15 seconds, but the skips still occur.
