Not sure if it's just me, but I'm experiencing streaming issues to the iPhone on songs that work perfectly fine through the web interface. I'm using the latest beta when doing so.

I should note that all I do is login on the iphone and try to stream random songs, usually from my recently added playlist

I haven't heard so far anybody else having problems on that area. What kind of issues are you experiencing? When clicking on a song Quicktime shows up, but the song just doesn't play? Does it work for you when using for example the demo over your iphone?

It works perfectly when using http://www.pulptunes.com/demo, but just doesn't work for some songs on my own install. It looks like it's loading and then I will get an error that the File cannot be played.

When streaming the music on the iphone are you connected using 3G or wifi? Also, have you tested the same songs you are having problems with on the web interface OFF your network? Is the problem sporadic and if so how often and/or is it the same songs that cannot play?

It's usually random songs and I've tested on both WiFi and 3G.

After a lot of testing I could also see there are some problems. So I've hard reworked this hole iPhone part. Now this is gonna support real streaming, unlike in the beta2 where you needed to wait for the full song to load. You'll also be able to fast forward and rewind, and select a location in the song even if it hasn't completely loaded (hell, not even the desktop web browser supports this ). I'll test this a bit more over the next few days before releasing it, but you can have sneak preview on the demo site that already has this.

Hi Alejandro,

I hope this is the right thread for this. Now that I've sorted out running 1.2.0 via terminal, I was trying to test iPhone support, but unfortunately no luck yet.

When I navigate to the page in Safari, the login applet loads fine, and I type in my credentials, the log even says "Authenticating USERNAME" but the screen just refreshes (often without the applet after reload) and I am not logged in. Other times, it rejects the login and says "User Authentication Failed" even when I have the proper credentials.

I know the support is unofficial, but have many people had success logging in from iPhone over 3G? Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

UPDATE: Partly solved. This appears to have something to do with sending the requests over the DynDNS/Webhop combo. When I try to connect directly via my IP/port I am able to authenticate and play songs. Does this jive with the above behavior? (Sorry, don't really know how all this stuff works under the hood).

I don't see how dynanimc dns could affect in any way... I'll try to give it a try when I get back home in a few days, as I'm currently on the road.
