Well you could purchase a domain and create a web page use iFrames and open your pulp tunes with in that page. It won't hide your IP but it will mask it better.. Also there are programs where you can encrypt your HTML so that people can not view the source code where your forwarded IP would be with in said frame..

It's the best way I know of ..

Take a look at this post
http://www.pulptunes.com/community/index.php/topic,114.0.html

It links to a great how-to written by imgriff that explains how to set up dynamic dns, which is exactly what you need.

Cheers,
Alejandro

I also have my own domain, which supports subdomains. I set home.mydomain.com to ne my external ip address.

I've had the same problem where the external address changes, and yesterday came up with the solution. The DynDNS solution is more elegant and needs no maintainence, but it is Not Free, and does weird things with the address.

I created an Automator action to:
1) get text from a website - http://ipchicken.com
2) create new textedit document from that text
3) save document in my Dropbox folder.

I can then check my external address if it stops working for any reason.

I may set it to run as a cron job every day, or maybe there's an easier way to set up a daily running of the Automator task.

Anyway, there's another way to do it for ya.

The DynDNS is the best way to go .. the ONLY benefit to a domain is if you already have one .. i.e. chrisichrist.com but if you do not then you could just go with the assigned dyndns. i.e. username.ath.cx

There's free software called Send My IP:
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/33119

It checks your IP and sends you an email with the new IP if it's changed.  It can check at whatever time interval you set.  You can also set it to launch on startup.

I'm on Comcast, and my IP rarely changes.  I just set my subdomain with a framed forward, and I'm set.

No need to make this complicated.

You create a free account with "NO-IP" and download the client and run it as a service and you can set it up like this:

ie. yourdomain.bounceme.net:15000
>> boss.bounceme.net:15000

Easy.

I can confirm that No-IP is the best solution, and it's free. One caveat, though: you have to go to their website every 12 days or so to reactivate your -- free -- subscription.
